WREN WORKS

Changing Narratives Through Story

At Wren Works, we believe in the transformative power of storytelling. Stories are more than just tales; they are tools for building empathy, understanding, and connections.

Stories shape our identities and perceptions of the world. They are the foundation upon which young minds build their understanding of complex subjects like art, math, history, and science. Recognizing the critical role stories play in cognitive development and reading success, we focus on nurturing these skills in young learners.

In a world still grappling with the deep-seated issues of racism, inequity, and injustice, stories have the power to disrupt harmful narratives and amplify voices that have been historically marginalized. At Wren Works, we stand for social justice and strive to help educators identify and weave narratives that honor every voice, celebrate diversity, and promote equity.

OUR SERVICES

Wren Works designs experiences based on a love of literacy. We partner with school districts, homeschool networks, and community organizations to support educators and families so that all learners thrive.

Our services are designed to:

  • improve student achievement in language, literacy, and cognition.

  • respond to social and emotional needs of school-aged learners.

  • build professional capacity of classroom and homeschool teachers.

  • develop partnerships between family, school, and community.

Family Book Program

Through a partnership with the Lebanon Food Pantry, Wren Works provides free children’s books to families each month—helping build home libraries for households facing economic hardship.

Books are selected for shared reading across ages and are available in English and Spanish. Each title includes a companion STEAM resource to support meaningful conversations and creative engagement at home.

Free monthly storytime events extend the experience with hands-on arts and nature-based learning.

This pilot initiative explores how literacy support can be embedded directly at the point of social service—reducing barriers and strengthening community connection.

Put Books in the Hands of Children, Families, and Educators

Across all our programs, Wren Works has seen firsthand the power of books to inspire curiosity, strengthen literacy, and build lifelong learners. This year, we aim to expand book distribution to:

  • Children attending camps and family literacy events

  • Educators participating in professional learning workshops

  • Families building home libraries at the Lebanon Food Pantry

Your support helps Wren Works reach hundreds of children, families, and educators—sparking imagination, shared learning, and a lifelong love of reading.

Help us put books in the hands of every child we serve.
